A place to hide;
monumental, frightful
rumble within
my skin...
No straight jacket,
just
cries unidentified,
shouts swallowed,
stomach knotted,
twitch turned kicks,
trembled earthquakes,
bound hands,
numbed mind,
agonized soul,
fury restrained,
jaws clenched,
unsettled,
unquiet,
rebellious seclusion,
feral breath.
Exploding implosion.
Fire and ice,
wind and dust...
Cataclysm harnessed
behind an undefined,
absurd,
"it's all smoke and mirrors, anyway"
civil mask;
A place to hide,
within my skin.
